Curfew Enforced as Gladewater Police Crackdown

Gladewater Police Chief Leon Sharrock announced strict enforcement of the curfew ordinance for minors. Mrs. Kincaid Dies in Houston After Gladewater Life

Glen Kincaid, 73, longtime Gladewater resident, died in Houston after a lengthy illness. Funeral at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with Rev. Irby Bates officiating. Burial in Gladewater Memorial Park. Survived by daughter Mrs. C. Robert Wilson of Houston, brother Ed Frensley of Alvord, and two grandchildren. She lived in Gladewater 30 years and had been in Houston since 1966. She co owned Stuckey Kincaid Department Store until 1960. Born January 16, 1896 in Alvord. Memorials via Stone Funeral Home.

In Austin the state Senate rejected the House tax bill with a range of 325 to 341 million dollars as a subcommittee hearing neared and a Senate floor battle loomed.
