United Gas seeks rate increase in Gladewater
United Gas, Inc. requests a rate adjustment from the City of Gladewater. The proposed increase mirrors the 18-city East Texas division hike, about 6 cents per customer daily, reflecting higher wages, taxes, insurance, and supplies. George Thomas notes regional rates have long been lower due to local gas surpluses, but argue inflation now narrows that gap.
