A six feet seven inch steel time capsule was sealed Saturday at the Lee Public Library site with dignitaries presiding. Contents included letters, the centennial Mirror edition, coins, books, and eyeglasses of Commander Fred Tuttle. Capsule donated by W C Speck Watson of Spencer Harris Tools. Abernathy read a 2073 bank letter.

More than 100 children will start school better prepared to read due to a Motor Development program funded by First United Methodist Church.
