Ultrasuede and home appliance trends noted in consumer lines
Ultrasuede is described as a non woven blend of polyester and polyurethane and may price above real suede. Over one billion appliances exist in 64 million U S homes averaging 16 per home. Birth rates for the first half of 1972 fell about 10 percent from 1971, which was two percent lower than 1970. Computerized checkout tests promise faster lines, 19 percent quicker, 57 percent fewer errors, and potential yearly store savings around one billion dollars.

The Texas State Historical Survey Committee presents a one day Dallas seminar on museum operation at the Dallas Museum of Fine Arts beginning 8 30 a m with experts from Winedale Inn Houston Houston Museum of Fine Arts UT Austin and more. Lunch is provided and registration requires a 2 00 lunch fee and advance form submission. The event is part of six statewide seminars funded by the National Museum Act and Moody Foundation grants.
