Mrs Kenneth Jordan reported that someone drowned her son's pet puppy in a water filled ditch near her home. The incident deeply upset her boy who loved the partially poodle pet. Bernard Davidson seeks two serviceable refrigerators for the GHS Band Parents Club concession stand at Round-Up Rodeo grounds. Contact Davidson at 845-2259 or 845-2867. City Council Certifies April 1 Election Results
The city council met in a special session Friday to canvass and approve the April 1 election. Incumbent Melvin Jenkins led with 349 votes, followed by Jim Holcomb 318, James Walker 275, J. B. Poston 245, E. R. Pete McKain 197, Don Earp 181, and Ed Haight 149. A total of 478 votes were cast with no absentee or write-in ballots.
