The cable gram originated Sunday from Betworth Surrey England to Mrs C Hazel tine Basshor in Baltimore. Mrs Vanderbilt is the daughter of Mrs Bassher and her former husband Capt Isaac E Emerson.

Atlanta Policeman Held After Fatal Inquest

In Atlanta a Patrolman S A Belding was shot and killed by Patrolman J W Camp in a dispute over a revolver after shared lodging. Camp is held on murder charges as a second inquest notes a back wound with powder burns suggesting the wound did not come from a front exit. Belding’s body was sent to Augusta.

An 1886 advertisement touts Hall's Catarrh Cure with claims of universal cure and a $100 reward if a Catarrh case is not cured by the medicine. Fronted by F J Cheney & Co of Toledo with a notary public sworn statement and testimonials. The copy promotes Dr King s New Life Pills as a companion product and lists 75 cent pricing.
