Auditorium Expansion at Georgetown Graded School

Construction on the 20 foot brick extension to the Georgetown Graded School auditorium is moving swiftly. The rear walls rise to the eaves, side walls nearly complete, and a four gallery seating area will allow five to six hundred with opera chairs or more with benches. An inclined floor improves stage viewing, eight large windows provide light and air, and planned fire escapes will be added around the main building. The board’s secretary, EKV Emeron, says the city will gain a worthy school.
