Harry Lassiter aged 18 killed his father William Lassiter a 50 year old painter at their Griffin Georgia home shortly after 11 pm. The coroner held an inquest and Lassiter was held on a murder charge claiming self defense saying his father advanced with a knife.

Murdered and Robbed in Atlantic City Farmer
Absalom Magee a 60 year old retired Weymouth farmer was killed during the night and robbed of about $2000 in cash. His body was found floating on the thoroughfare near the board walk by the boat wharf with a fatal blow and a fractured skull. Magee had arrived in Atlantic City on Saturday.
