Sheriff advances Crippen execution date from November 15 to November 8 in London. Dr Hawley H Crippen, convicted of Belle Elmore murder, will face the gallows next month.

Gov Ansel ordered a special term of the Richland general sessions court, starting November 21, to try Ed Byrd the negro accused of a criminal assault on a Columbia lady last Tuesday afternoon. Byrd is in the penitentiary awaiting trial.
