In Lafayette Indiana on October 28 Martin Robinson, a prominent young farmer, shot and killed Grace Eller, 17, and fired at Willard Southworth who met her. Robinson fled and is missing. Authorities say jealousy over Grace's attention to another man sparked the tragedy at Montmorenci, ten miles north of Lafayette.
An ad promises relief for sore eyes with Sutherland's Eagle Eye Salve, claimed to be armless and painless and guaranteed for 25e per tube.
Gainesville Ga October 23 an unnamed woman refusing to give her name was arrested near here charged with child murder. She sought lodging at the home of Mrs A R Johnson and was directed to a nearby school house where teachers found a dead child this morning. The woman protests death by exposure and a preliminary trial will be held soon.
A health note explains kidneys filter all blood every three minutes and work constantly to remove impurities. It cites symptoms from unhealthy kidneys and promotes Dean's Kidney Pills, with a testimonial from Miss Police Vause of Kingston Street, Kingstree, S C, and notes Foster Milburn Co as US agents at Buffalo New York.

Net tie Brady, recently removed from the Shelby county poor and insane asylum in critical condition, died after claiming a whipping at the institution. Attorney General Estes ordered a committee to investigate. Brady refused to name her assailant, saying she swore not to. Officials deny knowledge of any whipping, suggesting it could have been by an inmate unknown to them. She reportedly has East Coast relatives.
