In New York on November 18 authorities planned an inquest into a body found hermetically sealed in a trunk in a West Thirty fourth street apartment building cellar. The remains likely belonged to a woman though a man is identified by morgue experts. The trunk contained plaster and newspapers from 1902 and a zippered tank. A boarder named W Lewis is cited on the trunk. The victim died from asphyxiation while alive, according to surgeons.
