Warrant Sworn Out For Felder In Newberry Case

Acting on a new winding up commission resolution, Secretary B Frank Kelly swore out a warrant in Newberry against Thomas B Felder of Atlanta. The affidavit accuses Felder of offering bribes to H H Evans, a South Carolina dispensary board member, to influence decisions and defraud the state in October 1905. The warrant, issued by Magistrate Sample, was given to Sheriff Buford.

Burned at Stake By Bandits in Michoacan

San Francisco May 29 Refusing to yield to bandits demands American railroad superintendent Robert J. Sweasey of the Central Railroad of Michoacan was burned at the stake on May 16 in Ajuno Michoacan. Refugee Joseph Hansfelder arrived detailing the killing, house burned and Sweasey lashed to a post. Sweasey's wife reportedly captured.
