The Georgetown Daily Item notes the Hayward trial delaying testimony for several days. State Base Ball League opens with Sumter at Spartanburg and other matches. Other items include a shooting in Alen, a Peruvian incident in Washington, and warding for Confederate grave markers.
Interdenominational Sunday School Convention to be held in the city on May 23 and 24. The program lists devotional and song services, readings, discussions on study and teaching, elections of officers, teachers meetings, and addresses by various reverends, with each Sunday School required to send at least one delegate and report.
At a January meeting of the 2d Advent Church Georgetown Rev Mathew Johnson was chosen Moderator Rev Francis Keith Evangelist and Rev H Plowden Pastor to serve four years The church invites the public to Sunday services at eleven oclock Seats are free Also R C Griggs has bought a new hack and added a horse to run for the traveling public claiming he can meet trains at all times.
Washington reports the bureau of Statistics says the current fiscal year will see only one fourth of last year's canned beef exports. Ten months ending April 1 show 93 017 pounds shipped versus 4 121 909 pounds a year earlier. Britain shows the steepest decline in demand.

The notice, dated May 11 1907 from J H Burton Co 45 Broadway New York, severes connection with Burton firm while detailing handling stocks for other accounts.
