County Commissioners Meet in Georgetown May 6 1912

The Board of County Commissioners held its regular monthly meeting with Supervisor H. T. Muntterlyn and O. B. Skinder present. They authorized Muntterlyn to trade or buy mules for the county and approved claims amounting to 3098.42 dollars before adjourning.

Prosecution of Floyd Allen Concludes in Virginia Trial

Wytheville Virginia May 8 the commonwealth rested its case after four witnesses in the Floyd Allen murder trial. Defense witness John W Farris a Carroll County farmer and jury member testified he saw Sheriff Webb fire as Allen rose to hear sentence. Farris added he heard two shots before Webb began shooting from the area Sidna and Claude Allen were near.
