In Havana three miles off the Cuban coast the hulk of the Maine will be sunk this afternoon with taps and floral tributes as the North Carolina heads north to retrieve crew bodies. Public viewing of the 34 coffins honoring 65 sailors occurred as officials and Cuban leaders prepared the funeral procession and sea burial.
