Fire destroys Union Times building in town
The Union Times building and plant were almost destroyed by a fire at 4 o clock this morning. The blaze started on the second floor of the new building with two years since completion. Editor Rice could not determine the fire origin though threats against editors were noted. The incident follows recent editorials on intoxicants and there were over twenty arrests for drunkenness in police court. The Times plant was insured for half value and a nearby residence owned by Mr Thomas McNally suffered partial damage as the Union fire company fought the flames.
