Union June 17 Union has one of the most up to date all cable telephone systems in South Carolina. Workers have removed overhead wires and shortened poles giving a new exterior. The overhaul costs about 10000 dollars with a common battery return system eliminating bell ringing. Union's system ranks among the best in the state.
Chicago June 17 Governor Hadley of Missouri proposes basing Republican representation on actual vote in districts rather than population. Each district with 25 percent or more of party votes would get two delegates. 10-25 percent one vote. under 10 percent none. States would receive four at large delegates.
