In St Louis the International Cottonseed Crushers association met for its sixteenth annual conference. Vice president C W Ashcraft announced a cottonseed oil butter selling for 18 cents a pound. J Culberson of Paris Texas said the group would oppose the oleomargarine tax as the convention proceeds over three days with about 1000 delegates expected.
Gov Blease told reporters he has a citizen letter proposing to arrest Tom Felder an Atlanta delegate in Baltimore to secure a $200 reward. He will seek Maryland return for Felder and push the case with evidence he says can convict him. Three warrants exist including one issued in Newberry after a no bill by the grand jury last year.
