The Corn Meeting to Aid Boys Club in Georgetown

Mr R L Allston has arranged a farmers meeting at the county courthouse in Georgetown tomorrow at 11 am to promote a Boys Corn Club in Georgetown County. The event aims to engage boys and fathers with prizes and helpful talks from top speakers, urging every interested resident to attend. Also listed are unclaimed letters at Georgetown post office ending Feb 8 1912 for men and women including Henry Allston Dock Atkinson Harry Baker and Emma Alston among others.

Infernal package explodes killing 82 year old woman in New York

A man delivers a package to Grace Willis Walker at 103 West 77th Street, New York, and it explodes injuring or killing her. Coroner Feinberg and detectives call it an infernal machine. Charles M. Dickinson, an employee, is held on homicide charges as investigators search for motive and accomplices. Edna Lamar, 25, a housemaid, is held as a material witness.

Wheeler's brigade reportedly captured the retreating force near Jasper County while Sherman had ordered officers armed with captured Macon weapons and the release of 30,000 prisoners at Andersonville before moving to the coast.
