Pistol Duel in Barber Shop Ends in Two Deaths
In Kershaw on December 22, two young business men Steve Welsh of Heath Supply and Van Mungo of Carson & Co died from pistol fire after a barber shop quarrel escalated. Thomas Clyburn was killed, and Bernard Mobley was critically wounded as shots were exchanged between Welsh and Mobley. Mobley survived, Welsh and Clyburn died on the scene.
