July Mr Miller of Hanna was torn a few days ago. The Oates are now in care of the reaper. Mrs Geo Talcott has been seriously ill for some time. Mrs D W Talcott and daughter went to Erie to attend a birthday party this week. The timothy hay crop was secured in fine condition. Neighbor Gilson has launched a row boat and hopes to secure some fine fish before the season. Over Sabbath school at the church as usual next Sunday. Let us encourage the lady superintendent by attending.
July 23 reports show Mr Joe Fritch and neighbors in and around the area with World’s Fair visits by Misses Emma Cora Happ and Della Effie Richards. A July 22 ice cream festival at Hoop Pole drew a large crowd and a new one is planned in two weeks.
The 112th Illinois reunion is postponed from the original date to Wednesday October 11 1893 at Princeton Illinois due to Gen Henderson’s duty in Washington. FP Thompson secretary notes the new date and hopes all members attend.
In a July 24, 1693 session led by Mayor Etner and aldermen, the Water Works Committee was instructed to stop laying mains until the City Attorney returns for council consultation. Present: Ash Buell Johnson Kirkpatrick Meyer O'Bryan Ott. Absent: Clark. adjourned. City Clerk LIEBERKNECHT.

Miss Katie Roos of Geneseo visiting relatives nearby. Bernice Smith staying with sister Mrs. Joe Oberle amid massaria. Joseph Sands back from Luverne via Obicago, stopped at the Fair. Miss Hilda Arnett and child ill with loung fever. Doctors Magii of Spring Bill and Gilbert of Geneseo attending. Misses Cora Sommers Ella Crosier and Sarah Sands from Loraine visited White City. grand time reported. The W. M. will meet with Mrs. Fanny Sands Aug 24. All members urged to attend and others invited.
Farming updates from Burns and Geneseo include threshing crew details O F Ratsner and friends ready to work Mr Abe Cosner’s runaway incident and Mrs Dobbs visit. Weather remains hot and dry with fruit and corn suffering. The Burns Christian Endeavor plans a lawn fete Aug 8 to fund church lamps.

Temperance address by Col J T Long drew modest attendance. Church programs planned with lectures and a Sunday school convention upcoming.
