Electa Adams returns from Monmouth. Dr Analay of Sweden is the attending physician after being called. Mrs. Gabrielaon and daughter of Orton take a combined business and pleasure trip. Mrs. 0. G. Peterson leaves for Geneseo after learning of her aunt Mrs. Jonas Peterson’s illness.
Morristown reports 18 year old Dao visiting Jas Ammerman for onions and a socialhop at Geo Washburns last Friday. Widespread youth attendance at the G O I social. Mrs Carlin, invalid seven years, died. funeral at Evergreen Cemetery. A chicken pie supper December 20 at George J Smiths for the Childrens Home Society Davenport. Donations welcome for the Christmas box and program of recitations songs and tableaux.
About twenty seven people shared dinner at Jim Giann's Banday. Mrs Jas Montgomery of Nock Island is visiting Mr Geo Kincain. Wills Lida Montgomery visited Mr James Glenn last Sunday. Jessie Murrell travels to Ke yance to visit cousins. Heck Glenn recovering from illness visits Mr C H Rugh in Cambridge. Mrs John Mitten, former Briar Bluff resident, buried in Glenn cemetery Bun dey. Seven remaining ducks to dispose of, tenderhearted, no drowning.
Sleighs and cutters in use in the section, the neighborhood escaped grip so far. A preaching service is planned at Sharon church next Sunday at 1 p m. The December Normal will send notices next week and the Forty-ninth session opens January 2, 1894 with classes in common and uncommon branches. Seniors will give orations on Wednesday, George Baker joins as new student, Christmas Social tickets required, limited to seventy, tree donations urged, and exams, vacation, and mock trials mentioned.
Mrs Norton visited tri cities on Monday while A Hollin suffered another old complaint. The river freezes but not safe for teams to cross. Mrs Bunnell of Geneseo is very ill at her daughter’s home. Jobo Carlson’s mill offers grinding for neighbors. Clement Lodge No 68 AF & A M meets Saturday evening at the hall. Oyster supper at town hall on the 19th by Cleveland Forum No 67. Christmas light house planned for the church eve before Christmas with school youths, music, and gift drive. Annie Lewis died near Albia Iowa from typhoid fever leaving husband and one child. she was daughter of William Richardson formerly of Cleveland. Annie left many friends in Cleveland area.
Nellia Webster visited at home last Sunday and Charley Danielson toured the trialties last week. Bert Edwards of Sheffield gialted the old folks at home Sunday while Lyman Harris and family of Sheffield visited John Birney. J. W. Withrow and wife of Geneseo visited Mrs. W. Shafer Sunday. Mrs. L. O. Quillan, ill for weeks, is improving. James Johnson went to Moline to visit friends. Mr and Mrs Wm Irvin of Alexis visiting Mrs H N Hanna. Milo Mercery friends held a pleasant surprise party Friday. Cleveland Forum B O will host oyster suppers at town hall Tuesday evening December. Two Worthy citizens attended Mrs Bieben's sale Monday and missed lunch.

Lena Isaball Reichstar wife of Royce Allen died at her Thompson home Saturday at 1 am after brief illness. Born May 22 1870 in Habbleton Wisconsin she was 23 years 6 months and 10 days old. She lived in Thompson since 1885 and married Oct 22 1883. Funeral at Baptist church with Rev C C Willams officiating. She left husband two daughters and four siblings.
The North Side schoolhouse opened amid cheers as H. S. seniors planned a sleigh ride delayed a week. A visit by learners Friday included poetry from Mr. Herbert Ferry’s paper read at Gen. Ex. The senior class elected officers: Fred Raasteda vice president Louise Taylor secretary and Daisy Sheppard sergeant at arms.
