Insurance Boss Denies Plot To Kill Him

Machir J. Dorsey of Northern States Life in Hammond says his knowledge of a life crime plot by Dr. Andrew J. Bass is based on newspaper reports. Bass confessed to killing Pic hot Willian RR. Pearman to secure a $200,000 policy and to collaterals. Dorsey canceled a $100,000 policy citing business reasons. Bass later revised his confession and said no others were involved. Dorsey plans to plead insanity. Bass and Dorsey had prior business dealings in Kansas City real estate.

Woman sought after fatal head on crash in Munster

Hammond police hunt a woman in connection with a Sunday head on collision near Munster that left seven men injured and one possibly fatally. Both cars reportedly traveled at over fifty miles per hour and were demolished. Several injured were found at the roadside. authorities identified victims including J. S.
