Bear River Stake Holds January Conference Under Apostolic Oversight
The Bear River Stake concluded its two day conference on January 6 and 10 with Apostle Hyrum M. Smith presiding and Milton H. Welling in charge. Attendance reached 423 Sunday morning and 503 in the afternoon. Topics included Prohibition, Word of Wisdom and Temperance, with speeches by Seymour B. Young O. P. Miller and others. An Agricultural College Farmers Institute train visited Garland with a exhibition car and a lecture coach. Meetings at 1 30 and 2 30 p m featured Prof Merrill Nor throp Crockett Stewart Felt and Mrs Maycock and Miss Maggie Johnson. Stewart represented Hazelwood Creamery with milking machine demos. Dairying and horticulture topics were shown with stereoptican views. A good turnout from the city.
