Four year old child of Mr and Mrs Hall of Garland North was severely kicked by a horse on Tuesday. The force crushed the outer skull plate but the child is favorably recovering.

Town Board met at the town hall Tuesday night with all members present except Trustee Edwards. They decided not to advertise in the Xmas edition of the Deseret News this year. A request from Salt Lake City to reduce coal prices was discussed and the clerk instructed to respond. the City Attorney to consult with state officials on any illegal coal price cartel and possible dissolution. The justice and marshal reports for October were accepted. The ordinance committee will present an early hour closing of saloon and billiard halls at the next regular session, and steps will be taken against 1910 poll tax delinquents.

A large non PARTisan mass convention held Friday elected John W. Peters as chairman. Nominations named Oleen N. Stohl by B C Call and Frank W. Fishburn by R M Jeppson. Jesse W. Hoopes asked to withdraw as he was not a candidate. Fishburn received 107 votes and Stohl 102 with the nomination then made unanimous.

Funeral Rites for Sussanah P Boothe Held at Tabernacle
Impressive funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the tabernacle for Sussanah P Boothe. Bishop Geo W Watkins presided as hymns and eulogies offered words of comfort and eternal life. Remains laid to rest in the cemetery awaiting the trumpet call. The program featured speakers from the Relief Society and local church leadership.
