Hospital to host Look Good workshop in western Kansas
St Catherine Hospital will host the Look Good Feel Better workshops for area women battling cancer from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct 17 at the Breast Center 309 BE Walnut. A second class will be held Dec 19. Poker run raises funds for youth mentor group in Garden City
On Saturday 19 motorcycle enthusiasts rode five hours for Real Men Real Leaders, a group guiding fifth and sixth graders in Garden City. The five hundred mile route started at Golden Corral and ended at Time Out, with a prize of 250 dollars and an estimated 850 dollars raised for United Way designated to the AMRL program.

A Dia De Los Muertos community art exhibit at Garden City Arts features works by local artists and students from Garden City High School, Garden City Community College, Kenneth Henderson Middle School and Bernadine Sitts Intermediate Center. The month long display includes Victoria Singhantha's mixed media altar shrine to Walt Disney and Miguel Rodriguez's five foot The Blue Catrina sculpture. The show runs through Oct. 30.
