Three Kansas grain cooperatives earned spots in the USDA Top 100 Largest Agricultural Cooperatives. Mid Kansas Co-op of Moundridge sits at No. 71 with total business volume $434 million in 2015 and assets $347 million, while Farmway Co-op rose to No. 68 with $442 million in volume and $224 million in assets. Frontier Ag of Oakley ranked No. 97 with $334 million in volume. Nationwide, total business volume dropped to $149 billion in 2015, though net income rose to $4.9 billion. CHS Inc remains the largest with $34.7 billion.
