Dole campaigns for Roberts amid UN disability treaty vote
Former Senator Bob Dole campaigns for Pat Roberts in Kansas Senate race while pressing for US ratification of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Roberts voted against the treaty in 2012. Greg Orman opposes the treaty, while Dole and Orman’s campaign manager emphasize equal rights for disabled people. Dole tours all Kansas counties and remains active on the issue despite conservative concerns about sovereignty and home schooling provisions.
