Cathy Johns says the three month period included travel and study that left her refreshed and more lighthearted about her role.

BeAuregard Parish school board faces ACLU lawsuit over prayer policy
The Louisiana ACLU plans federal action against Beauregard Parish School Board for allowing student led prayers through Partners in Prayer for Schools while letters sought parent consent. The board also voted to permit nonsectarian, student initiated voluntary prayer at events amid mixed public support. Superintendent Myrna Cooley ties policy to a 11th Circuit ruling, which ACLU challenges as not settled law.
