Rios backs King of Ring show with sponsor role in Garden City
Boxer Brandon Rios will not attend the November 10 King of Ring event at Buffalo Jones Elementary in Garden City yet his sponsorship supports the show. Rios, now based in Oxnard, California, recently claimed the WBO Latino light welterweight title with a seventh round KO of Mike Alvarado in Las Vegas and previously beat Richard Abril in a WBA lightweight tilt. He funds trophies and door prizes, and his gesture aims to keep Garden City youths off the streets while pursuing their dreams.
