Gospel concert funds foster grandparent program in Salina
A community gospel concert at Oakdale Park to benefit Salina foster grandparents helps cover costs for the local Foster Grandparent Program. Eleanor Jones Le Roy Love and Harlan Miller headline the event, with donations supporting training conferences and travel for volunteers in Salina and surrounding communities. The program, run by the North Central Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging, places 55 plus mentors in elementary classrooms, offering companionship, tutoring, and a pathway to attend the national conference in Reston, Virginia.
