Wasinger Opposes Huelskamp Greenhouse Gas Measure
Kansas politics heated as Rep. Rob Wasinger defeats a Huelskamp bid by securing Gov. Mark Parkinson’s veto of a greenhouse gas funding measure. The veto blocks language that would bar state funds from plans to enforce federal rules, drawing praise from Sunflower Electric and Westar while Huelskamp defends his amendment. Barnett, another 1st District candidate, previously backed a similar proposal.
