Abortion records veto override fails in Kansas
In Topeka anti abortion lawmakers failed to override Gov. Kathleen Sebelius veto of a records bill. The measure would require physicians to report late term abortions and fetal abnormalities to state health officials, increasing patient sensitive data disclosure. The Senate fell short 23 to 12 of the two thirds needed, ending the attempt on the session's final day. Sebelius argued the bill infringes on patient privacy and supports abortion rights.
