Tokyo Scientists Claim Rain Forecast Method
Five Tokyo University scientists report a new method predicting both timing and amount of rain. They claim 100 percent success in forecasting three typhoon related rainstorms last year and tests dating to 1939. The system uses atmospheric vapor at ground level, three and five kilometers to project hours ahead. Continuous recalculation aims to eliminate error if initial data are accurate.
