Buffs fall short at conference track meet
The GCHS teams faced a tough conference meet with standout performances from sprinter Silva and pole vaulter Carly Trentman. Trentman tied her personal best of 9-0 to place second, while the girls 4x800 team clocked 10:28.21 for an 11 second win. Senior Gabe Luna led in the javelin with 165-7 as Liberal’s Slader McVey posted 176-10. The meet ends with prep for the Class 6A regional at Goddard and state qualifiers for the top four finishers.
