The minimum age is 12 with no upper limit. Full certification takes two weekends, with academics and pool on weekend one and five open water dives on weekend two. Checkout dives require two days. Certification lasts for life. Open water dives must occur within one year of classwork. Schedules and locations vary. Tri-State Scuba offers trips to Cozumel and Santa Rosa NM.
