Over the Hill Gang Restores Vintage Carousel Museum
A Leavenworth Kansas volunteer group named the Over the Hill Gang rebuilt and funded a historic carousel museum. They endured funding delays and soil cleanup as they learned woodworking, painting, and metalwork while seeking donations from figures like Melissa Etheridge. Acting director Jerry Reinhardt coordinates a self guided crew of volunteers who expect to expand the center with more exhibits and ongoing work.
