A TV valued at 100 dollars was stolen from the 500 block of North 13th Street between 8 a.m. December 25 and 5 p.m. Tuesday. Earlier, between 8 a.m. December 10 and 8 a.m. Saturday, several checks were taken from a person in the 1800 block of Commanche Drive, with total losses of 5 dollars.

Minister's wife charged in his shooting death
Mary Winkler, wife of Selmer minister Matthew Winkler, agreed to return to Tennessee to face first degree murder charges in his death. She was found with their three daughters in Orange Beach, Alabama, after authorities said she waived extradi tion. Winkler was found dead Wednesday night at the parsonage.
