Seed planter Buettell grows rare bulbs in makeshift greenhouse
Buettell starts thousands of seeds each winter in her home and a homemade greenhouse built with 2 by 4s and plastic. She raises coleus and dahlias from slips, sells plants from her home starting April 20, and educates neighbors about growth zones, soil, and care. Her Yorkie Ruby helps guard the garden as she shares gardening tips with visitors.
