Kansas to test unsubmitted rape kits across state
Kansas finishes a statewide inventory of 2200 untested sexual assault kits held by 86 of more than 300 agencies. Shawnee five, Douglas 70 plus, Sedgwick 1188. Wabaunsee and Jackson counties had none. The initiative began in 2014 with a DOJ grant, aiming to close open cases and ID offenders.
