Piha lands GCHS volleyball coaching position
Abby Piha, a fifth grade teacher at Abe Hubert Elementary, was approved as Garden City High School head volleyball coach on March 9 by the USC 457 Board of Education. She previously led the team as interim coach after Shandra Sanders re signed, guiding a 14-7 finish and a fourth straight Western Athletic Conference title in 2014. Piha aims to bring stability, develop leadership, and start a summer league for area schools to boost program culture and commitment.
