New GCHS truancy program shows positive results
Gar den City High School implements a truancy diversion process led by Erica Pargas. When a student is flagged, parents, the county attorney and school officials meet to outline a diversion contract replacing court hearings. The program targets attendance issues at GCHS, the Alternative Center, and the Virtual Academy.

Former Scott City mental health director arrested on child porn allegations
Kent S. Hill, 54, former Benton County Mental Health Division manager, was arrested in Oregon on 10 counts of encouraging child sex abuse in the first degree and 10 counts in the second degree.
