Garden City commissioners approved an initial plan to ease Five Points traffic with a video detection system and repainting markings. The board chose the least expensive option at about 196 305 dollars, stressing cameras will not record activity.
The Senate Federal and State Affairs Committee voted 43 to advance the casino and slot machine proposal amid uncertainty about 21 votes needed for passage.
