Holcomb City moves forward with sector redevelopment plans
Holcomb City advances a modified tax increment financing plan and a Community Improvement District to fund a development near its sewer line. Interlocal agreements with Finney County and Garden City Community College are sought, with CID to add a 1 percent sales tax within the district. The hotelier-led project includes a hotel, restaurant, retail, truck stop, and light industrial uses, financed by TIF and CID revenues and developer payments. The council also considers tiered water rates amid drought and approved weed spraying services and a new Mac computer for city hall.
