Garden City Busters win home rodeo team title
The Garden City Community College women rodeo team captured the team championship at their home Finney County rodeo with 280 points, led by Emily Miller who won the women’s all around and dominated barrel racing. Southwestern Oklahoma State trailed, while Western Oklahoma State won the men’s team title. Miller and teammates Leonhard and Trenary posted strong barrel times, and the Busters eye momentum heading to Fort Scott.

Busters sweep Dodge City in four games at Williams Stadium
Garden City Community College ends the two day series with a four game sweep over Dodge City Community College. The Busters win 8-1 in game one and 10-5 in game two on Sunday. Saturday's two close wins were 8-7 in eight innings and 3-2. Desmond Roberts hits a grand slam and Kris Lalk closes the seventh. Todd Brazell goes seven innings for Garden City in game one. The Busters improve early to 4-0 in conference play under coach Chris Finnegan.
