Eastern Star Honors Fifty Year Members in Kansas chapter
Finney Chapter No 359 of the Order of Eastern Star recognized Mrs Rice Hebrew and Mrs Earl Parrish as 50 year members. Hebrew honored June 18 at home and Parrish June 19 at the Masonic Temple. Parrish initiated in Jamaica Iowa April 12 1923 and joined Finney Chapter February 15 1934. Lifelong member stories were presented by multiple speakers as the chapter marked the anniversary with music and prayers. A life membership was awarded to both women along with a chapter Bible gift. The gathering included dignitaries from the Grand Chapter of Kansas and plans for future events were noted. The meeting adjourned with notices for upcoming assignments and next September gathering.
