Garden City Community College trustees discussed a possible 0.5 or 1.0 mill levy rise to offset 2013 budget gaps with state funding down by about 34 000 and revenue shortfalls of 293 000 from 2012. President Herbert Snender urged funding for one-time needs like parking lot repairs and potential program expansions. The board planned a detailed plan for July 11.
