Kansas abortion rules detail room size and drugs
Kansas sets strict rules for abortion providers to take effect July 1. The rules require specific room sizes, temperatures between 68 and 75 degrees, a recovery period of at least two hours, and a stocked inventory of 13 medications plus blood pressure cuffs for adults, children, and infants. The KDHE plans a special licensing process and inspections for Overland Park clinics, with opponents calling the measures burdensome and aimed at curbing abortions.
