Beef checkoff ruling could affect Kansas $8 million

Judge Kornmann ruled the program violates cattle producers First Amendment rights by funding ads they oppose. The decision drew mixed reactions from Kansas groups, with calls for a stay and possible USDA intervention while key producers argue it protects vocal opposition and freedom of speech.
