Motor vehicle tag fee rises July investigators report
Kansas will raise motor vehicle tag fees by 3.25 dollars effective July 1 to fund the Highway Patrol and Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center. Reno County Treasurer Jan Hull warns renewals will mail July 1 and late renewals face the higher price. Online renewals may avoid the increase if completed before July 1, though not all vehicles qualify.

Marshall ad uses fake headlines in Kansas race
A congressional campaign TV ad for Roger Marshall uses fabricated newspaper headlines alleging Tim Huelskamp misleads Kansans. Editors say the imagery borrows text from editorials and fails to reflect actual front pages, prompting calls for accountability and critique of campaign tactics.
