Officials probe Tyson death after fatal stabbing at plant
Finney County deputies investigate a Friday night stabbing at the Tyson Fresh Meats plant near Holcomb. Cesar Muniz, 30, was wounded when an elderly coworker allegedly stabbed him during an area collision. Muniz died later at St Catherine Hospital as authorities pursue possible foul play while locating witnesses. The 84 year old suspect’s identity remains withheld pending any arrest. EMS crews started care at Tyson’s nurse station after the 10:32 PM call and ambulance dispatch followed minutes later.

Duwayne Rich, 74, of Deerfield, died in a rural Kearny County field after exposure to a released anhydrous ammonia while towing a nurse tank. Emergency crews responded around 2:30 p.m. and Rich was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators say a valve malfunction on the tank may have caused the release.
